Clump forming soft herbaceous plant commonly used as an indoor specimen; or as an outdoor plant in the tropics.
Variegated leaves with tones of silver are its main attraction
For best results indoors place the plant in well-lite site. Potting mixture needs to be premium grade – well drained and highly organic.
For best results outdoors, protect from direct sunlight, frost, or excess wind. Garden soil needs to be well drained and rich on organic matter. Ensure a good mulch is supplied.
Problems:
Prone to excessive water collapse therefore be careful with watering especially in cooler seasons.
Very sensitive to frost.
Mealy bugs, spider mite and scale are known to be pests.
