Family: Agavaceae

Trendy plant used in courtyard and minimalist garden designs.

Evergreen herbaceous tussock plants with stiff long strap leaves and erect panicles of pearl- white bell shaped blossoms.

Plants are well suited to tropic and cool temperate regions.

All plants require good drainage, and adapt well to hot dry exposed sites.

Small plants are ideal for pot culture and borders, however can sometimes be unsuitable as the plant matures.

Many forms available, most with spines at the end of leaves making them unsuitable for small gardens where children play.
